Project Manager - Design Engineering

Project Manager - Design Engineering (Mission Critical Projects) Location: Onsite in Herndon, VA Duration: 18-Month W2 Contract Pay Rate: $98-$108/hour (Depending on Experience)

We re hiring a Project Manager to support the Design Engineering team at a globally recognized technology powerhouse. This organization is known for driving innovation in infrastructure development and data center delivery at scale.

This is a highly visible role ideal for candidates with strong experience in design, construction administration, and mission-critical environments such as data centers. You will play a key role in managing complex projects from design through execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and manage all phases of project and program execution.

• Lead design development and construction administration efforts.

• Set timelines, assign responsibilities, track project milestones, and report on progress to leadership.

• Optimize project workflows using platforms such as Smartsheets, Procore, or similar.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and act as a trusted consultant throughout the lifecycle of each project.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Structural, Electrical Engineering, or Architecture.

• At least 7 years of project/program management experience.

• 5+ years of experience in each of the following:

  • Design project management

  • Construction Administration (CA) phase management

  • Mission-critical and data center project environments

• Strong knowledge of industry best practices, documentation, and cross-discipline project leadership.

Preferred Qualifications:

• PMP Certification

• Experience working within large-scale tech or e-commerce environments

• Prior experience with data center design
