General Laborer**
**Job Description**
Join our team as a General Laborer where you will be responsible for offloading inbound materials from rail cars safely and efficiently. You will connect conveyor systems to containers for unloading raw materials used in concrete production, and transport these materials to silos for storage. Your role will also include verifying label receipts during unloading and transportation, handling heavy materials, and maintaining adherence to safety protocols in a physically demanding environment.
**Responsibilities**
+ Offload inbound materials from rail cars safely and efficiently.
+ Connect conveyor systems to containers for unloading raw materials used in concrete production.
+ Transport raw materials to silos for storage until required for manufacturing processes.
+ Check the receipts of labels when unloading and transporting materials.
+ Regularly handle heavy materials, lifting up to 7075 lbs multiple times within short intervals.
+ Work comfortably in physically demanding conditions, including hot and dirty environments.
+ Ensure adherence to safety protocols while performing all unloading and transportation tasks.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience in production and concrete handling.
+ Mechanical aptitude and preventative maintenance knowledge.
+ Ability to work in a warehouse environment and perform manual labor.
+ General labor experience.
+ Experience in heavy lifting.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Equipment operating experience is preferred but not required.

**Work Environment**
This role is set in a cement supplier facility, which is very hot and outdated with continuous exposure to extreme heat, cold, and noise, as well as outdoor work. Protective equipment must be worn at all times. You will work in a small team of 2-3 people, collaborating to meet production goals. The dress code includes long pants, a t-shirt, and steel-toed shoes. The position involves working on the 1st shift (7am-3pm/4pm) with the possibility of training on the day shift before moving to the 3rd shift (12am-8am). Candidates may be asked to come in early or stay late when busy, averaging 10 hours of overtime per week, with up to 30 hours of overtime during peak season.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.
