HVAC Technician

We're seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to join our engineering team at a 203,851 square foot manufacturing facility in West Union, SC. With minimal supervision, you'll be responsible for maintaining machinery and equipment to ensure optimal uptime operation, focusing on mechanical, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems. This position may involve assisting the Chief Engineer in providing direction to the team. • Complete diverse maintenance tasks including painting, pressure washing, lighting system maintenance, plumbing repairs, HVAC servicing, water treatment, locksmith work, and general facility upkeep
• Ensure reliable operation of machinery and mechanical equipment through preventive and corrective maintenance of chillers, motors, gearboxes, HVAC equipment, and pneumatic systems
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by strictly following procedures, rules, and regulations
• Interpret and follow diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications
• Support the preventative maintenance program implementation and supervision
• Update the work order system (CMMS) daily and promptly address service requests
• Assist with training aimed at expanding the capabilities of the engineering team
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond to emergency situations as needed
• Troubleshoot electrical, DDC, and pneumatic control systems effectively

• 3-5 years of experience in repair, maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical or carpentry in an industrial setting
• Ability to comprehend technical documentation and engineering specifications
• Physical capabilities including lifting up to 50 lbs, using ladders up to 30 feet tall
• Comfort with frequently climbing, bending, kneeling, and driving as part of regular duties
• Strong customer service skills and team-oriented mindset
• Commitment to safety protocols and workplace regulations
• Experience using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams)

• Trade school education, union training, military service, or college education
• Universal CFC EPA certification (or willingness to obtain within first year with JLL assistance)
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience
• Experience with building automation systems and controls
• Knowledge of energy conservation practices and sustainable maintenance methods
• Experience with preventative maintenance planning and implementation
• Ability to support and champion inclusivity and belonging across teams
