The company is seeking a reliable, self-motivated, deadline-driven Architect to join our team. The Architect is responsible for designing buildings that create unique and well-organized structures. The duties include meeting with clients to discuss their vision, drawing up building plans and modifying their designs throughout the building process to maximize structural integrity. To be successful in this position, you should be able to multitask, be detail-oriented, able to maintain oversight of all projects, identify problems, ensure problems are resolved promptly, work with others to ensure tasks are completed quickly, and work independently. You should also stay up to date with new drafting software and advancements, building codes and requirements, and state submittal procedures. Architect Duties and Responsibilities: Control project from start to finish to ensure high quality, innovative and functional design. Meet with stakeholders, including clients, to understand and incorporate their ideas into clear and intuitive construction plans and specifications. Use design software to create 3D and 2D technical drawings. Prepare detailed drawings showing both the appearance and interior structure of a building project. Ensure final designs are compliant with building regulations. Direct staff in the development of project drawings, studies, and budgets. Identify and communicate potential design problems to the rest of the team. Contribute to the planning, bidding, and development of projects. Visiting building jobsites to ensure work is being done according to architectural plans. Architect Requirements and Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent and valid driver's license required BS in Architecture or related course of study and State licensure Expert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards Strong construction knowledge for commercial construction AutoCad software (3 years minimum) and Revit Excellent written and verbal communication skills Excellent attention to detail Ability to focus and keep calm under pressure Highly organized and ability to keep track of multiple projects Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Able to work independently and as part of a team Job Type: Full-time Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Vision insurance Schedule: 8 hour shift Day shift Monday to Friday Work Location: In person
