- Responsible for preconstruction deliverables to clients.
- Develops a strategy for each assigned project.
- Provides support to business sales, team sales, and presentations.
- Ensures sound financial deals through risk management.
- Drives cost leadership and oversees estimates for projects at all stages.
- Maintains accuracy of estimates and ensures the costing database is current.
- Leads the preparation and closure of guaranteed maximum prices.
- Directs and reviews work of Estimating Engineers, Conceptual Estimators, and Sr Estimators.
- Drives deadlines and ensures client satisfaction during preconstruction.
- Attends sales presentations and markets work to existing clients.
- Enforces project planning, logistics, and scheduling.
- Ensures involvement of subcontractors for pricing and supports negotiations.
- Mentors, leads, motivates, and coaches staff.
- Manages successful client relationships.
- Experience in construction, cost management, and estimating.
- Proficiency in bidding and large project estimation.
- Project management experience is required.
- Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Construction Management, or related fields.
- Experience with change orders and cost management on large projects.
- Ability to manage and plan work activities and promote a safe culture.
- Familiarity with site requirements, tools, methods, and materials.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Understanding of risk management related to projects and the company.
- Advanced understanding of construction scheduling and cost control.
- Ability to create and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Procore, BIM, and Microsoft Project.
