Press Operator**

**Job Description**

The Press Operator will be responsible for operating a metal stamping press ranging from 800 ton to 1600 ton. This includes loading steel coils onto the press using an overhead crane, setting dies, changing out tooling, and interfacing with the HMI to run the press. The operator will also check the quality of parts using various measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and indicators.

**Responsibilities**

+ Run equipment including coil handling and loading.

+ Conduct first piece runs and production of parts.

+ Perform quality checks and documentation.

+ Operate the press efficiently and safely.

+ Ensure tooling is properly set and changed when necessary.

**Essential Skills**

+ Machine operation experience.

+ Setup and changeover proficiency.

+ CNC and press experience.

+ Hydraulics and mechanical knowledge.

+ Ability to use calipers and other measuring tools.

**Additional Skills & Qualifications**

+ High School Diploma or GED.

+ Mechanical aptitude.

+ Ability to work in a non-temperature controlled environment.

**Work Environment**

This position is within a clean manufacturing facility equipped with newer machinery. The environment is semi-noisy due to the stamping presses running continuously, but ear protection and safety glasses are provided. The facility is expanding, adding 28K square feet and new machines, reflecting its growth mode. Shifts include 2nd and 3rd, with rotation over weekends. Operators have the opportunity to work up to 60 hours per week, with overtime pay after 40 hours and double time on Sundays.

This is a Permanent position based out of ANTIOCH, Tennessee.

**Pay and Benefits**

The pay range for this position is $39520.00 - $45760.00/yr.
