2nd Shift - Journeyman Electrician**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled journeyman electrician to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in accordance with NEC guidelines. The ideal candidate will work with minimal supervision and provide guidance to others while ensuring high-quality electrical work. This role involves bending and installing conduit, utilizing standard electrical testing equipment, troubleshooting electrical issues, and collaborating with other trades departments as needed. Additionally, effective communication of project status through phone and email is essential.
**Responsibilities**
+ Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems following NEC guidelines.
+ Work independently and provide guidance to team members.
+ Bend and install conduit efficiently.
+ Utilize standard electrical testing equipment for troubleshooting.
+ Collaborate with and assist other trades departments as necessary.
+ Communicate project status effectively using phone and email.
+ Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, scissor lifts, and aerial lifts confidently.
+ Apply knowledge of electrical policies and procedures.
+ Manage projects from start to finish.
+ Train apprentices on installations.
+ Ensure installations are efficient, safe, and adhere to local electrical codes.
+ Follow company safety standards and procedures diligently.
**Essential Skills**
+ Possession of a Journeyman or Master Electrician license.
+ Completion of schooling at an accredited electrical trade school.
+ Minimum of 8 years' experience as an electrician, with at least 3 years in an industrial setting.
+ Proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics.
+ Strong understanding of industrial facility systems including electrical, structural, and plumbing.
+ Ability to apply electrical codes daily.
+ Professional communication skills with customers, project managers, and estimators.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Journeyman License
+ Experience in construction, blueprint reading, wiring, conduit bending, and installation.
+ Familiarity with switchgear and panel wiring.

This position requires working on the 2nd shift from 2:25 pm to 11:45 pm, with an hour paid drive to the shop. The role is based at the Howmet Facilities in Whitehall, MI. You will be working in large industrial facilities, spending 70-80% of the time on maintenance tasks such as relocating and replacing equipment, and the remainder on installation construction for expansions or new buildings.

**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $42.00 - $48.00/hr.
