Civil Heavy Equipment Operator

The Civil Heavy Equipment Operator will work closely with members of the Construction Management, Site Supervision, and Safety teams to support civil construction projects from site preparation through project completion. The Civil Heavy Equipment Operator will be responsible for operating heavy machinery, ensuring compliance with project plans and safety standards, all while contributing to project timelines and operational efficiency.

• Operate heavy equipment such as bulldozers, excavators, graders, loaders, and backhoes to execute tasks including grading, excavation, and material movement
• Conduct pre-operation inspections of equipment to ensure safety and functionality, reporting any issues to supervisors
• Follow project plans, blueprints, and supervisor instructions to perform work accurately and efficiently
• Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing applicable state and OSHA regulations
• Coordinate with on-site teams to support workflow and ensure timely project progression
• Assist with minor equipment maintenance and troubleshooting to minimize downtime
• Monitor site conditions, adjusting operations as needed for weather, terrain, or other variables
• Previous experience as a Heavy Equipment Operator on civil construction projects, infrastructure development, or related fields
• Ability to work within a high-performance, cross-functional organization with tight timelines and demanding project goals
• Working knowledge of safety standards, equipment operation guidelines, construction plans, grade stakes, environmental regulations, and ability to interpret project specifications
• Physical capability to operate equipment for extended periods and work in varying environmental conditions
• OSHA 10 Certification
• Willingness to multi-task to multiple types of equipment as required
• Valid driver's license required
