JOB SUMMARY: Under general direction, the Project Engineer / Manager will be based at our Lexington, North Carolina factory and will be responsible for multiple projects including process engineering, design, startup, inspection, ensuring accuracy and conformance to policies and procedures for both New Equipment and Aftermarket. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide project management efforts from conception through final startup of multiple projects by meeting contract timelines, tracking and minimizing project costs, assuring proper design and purchase of equipment, checking drawings, and having thorough documentation; ensure accuracy and conformance to policies and procedures. Provide technical, and field assistance, and/or training for customers in maintenance, installation, operation, and startup of Preparation, or other processes. Ensure conformity to all customer & local governing specifications such as CE, UL, CSA, Safety and Environmental & other relevant requirements. Perform various engineering calculations and analyses related to process design and equipment sizing and selection. Provide engineering design, R D, and sales support. Work integrally with internal and external customers to provide the most efficient design to meet the project requirements. Provide accurate project status updates to customers and all key stakeholders. Provide oversight and status on project cost and margin performance during each phase of the project, and mitigation support as needed. Provide input and support for Scorecard process and ensure readiness for review and approval process. Represent CPM at customer-facing interactions as needed. Ensure schedule integrity by proactively identifying obstacles, mitigating delays and brainstorming alternative paths to meet schedule and cost commitments, while maintaining all quality and regulatory standards. Perform other related duties as required and assigned. SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) with respect to the engineering and design of food grade processing equipment. Required knowledge of AutoCAD. Preferred knowledge in Autodesk Inventor, CAD Vault, and Finite Element Analysis (FEA). De monstrated experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams, creating values for end customers, and driving operational excellence within areas of responsibility. Experienced in using Preparation Sales, VSC Sizing and Cooker Sizing tools. Pr ocess Flow and Instrumentation Drawing experience. Strong Microsoft Office as well as good written and verbal communication skills. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in chemical or mechanical engineering. Preparation facilities or projects experience required. Five plus years of experience operating, constructing, designing or managing. OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to communicate in English fluently. Ability to communicate in a second language - European or Asian languages preferred but not required. Ability to travel on an as needed basis - domestically or internationally and up to 25% of the time.
