The Facilities Division is hiring a Carpenter Supervisor position that supervises employees and performs a variety of carpentry duties in the construction, alteration and repair of structures and related equipment at the Kentucky Air National Guard base.

Job duties include but are not limited to the following:

• Supervises and assigns work to employees and performs construction and repair of building, furniture, doors, windows, walls, floors, ceilings, roofs and cabinetry.
• Installs and repairs locks and related hardware.
• Performs finish carpentry work such as sanding, painting, varnishings, etc.
• Builds and repairs auxiliary equipment such as fencing signs, ramps, gates, guttering, etc.; operates and services saws, planes, drills, jointers and hand tools.
• Installs and repairs linoleum, floor tiles and carpet.
• Provides assistance in other skilled trade areas.

Minimum Requirements

EDUCATION: NONE

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Four years of carpentry experience.

Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: Vocational or technical school training in carpentry or a related field will substitute for the experience on a year-for-year basis.
