Chipton-Ross is seeking multiple Sheet Metal Mechanics for a contract opportunity in Greenville, SC.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):Minimum 8 years of experience in aircraft structures/sheet metal workExperience with flight control repair, thinner materials, or back shop fabricationAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprintsExperience with part fabrication and general aviation repairPOSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:Plan, lay out, fabricate, assemble, install, and repair internal and external aircraft structuresWork in accordance with technical manuals, engineering drawings, and FAA regulationsPerform modifications and repairs on C-130 flight control systemsWork with thinner materials and precision sheet metal techniquesEnsure compliance with safety and quality standardsUse company-provided toolsDESIRED EXPERIENCE:Flight control repair or back shop fabrication experienceGeneral aviation repair experiencePart fabrication experienceREQUIRED EDUCATION:Accredited High School Diploma or EquivalentWORK HOURS:4/10 work schedule1st or 2nd Shift (assigned after training)1st shift (5:30 AM 4:00 PM) or 2nd shift (3:00 PM 1:30 AM); shift assigned after training
