Responsibilities

  • Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including water supply, gas lines, drainage, and waste disposal systems.
  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and building specifications to determine layout of plumbing systems.
  • Inspect and test plumbing systems for safety, functionality, and compliance with local, state, and national regulations.
  • Install and troubleshoot commercial plumbing equipment such as water heaters, grease traps, backflow preventers, and pumps.
  • Hydro-jetting of plumbing drain lines, clearing of clogged drain lines.
  • Respond to emergency plumbing calls during and outside of regular hours as needed.
  • Work with a variety of piping materials including copper, cast iron, PVC, CPVC, PEX, and galvanized steel.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on each job.
  • Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and other trades during construction or renovation projects.
  • Follow safety procedures and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Completion of a plumbing apprenticeship program or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid state plumbing license or certification (as required by local jurisdiction).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial plumbing systems.
  • Strong understanding of plumbing codes, regulations, and blueprints.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects, work in confined spaces, and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and guest service skills.
  • Backflow certification and/or medical gas certification preferred.
  • Fire sprinkler systems preferred.
  • Familiarity with energy-efficient or green plumbing technologies preferred.

Certificates, Licenses, Regulations

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Class A/III gaming license with the Stillaguamish Tribal Gaming Agency (TGA) and the State of Washington.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Must be able to be insured to drive company or customer vehicles by the company insurance carrier.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain an Angel of the Winds’ Certified Forklift Operator’s License (ANSI Standards WAC 296-863 and OROSHA 1910.179) for Class I and Class IV forklifts.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Constantly requires the ability to receive detailed information through oral and written communication. The position requires exerting up to 75 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 40 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Requires repetitive movement with the ability to stand and/or walk for an entire shift. This position requires being outside in different weather conditions for some of the shifts.
