What you will be doing:
Equipment Operator Sub Journey 1:
- Operate light-duty ground motorized equipment and State-owned pickup trucks for various maintenance functions.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs at multiple wayside/rest stop facilities within the district.
- Engage in various manual labor tasks, including cleaning culverts, cutting vegetation, picking up litter, patching potholes, and loading and unloading equipment and supplies from trucks.
- Loading and unloading equipment and supplies from trucks.
- Assist in the installation, repair, and/or replacement of permanent traffic signs.
- Carry out traffic control duties, including flagging for safety.
- Ensure public safety and maintain a clean and welcoming environment for the community.

This is a seasonal position located in Cantwell, Alaska, within the Denali District. Expect a dynamic, fast-paced environment with varied responsibilities and conditions. You'll work independently and as part of a team, often in challenging weather or terrain. Shift work and emergency responses are part of the role, and safety is a priority.
