Job Description

Your Team

The Construction Manager will assist the Project Manager in overseeing the assigned community duties and responsibilities related to but not limited to the construction team. Assist with oversite on construction sites and home construction, provide support with vendor/contractor items and customers for resolving issues and ensuring the highest level of quality and workmanship. Assist with schedules, budgets and safety protocols. Provide oversight in construction scheduling and Build Pro to ensure accurate and consistent information is timely.

Your Key Deliverables

  • Maintain lower volume on home production

  • Assist with oversight on builder production and support where needed

  • Support resolutions to construction issues and vendor challenges

  • Ensure Safety Policy is maintained and documentation is current

  • Conduct Site Reviews and Final QA Inspections

  • Review Construction Milestone Report:

    • Ensure consistent updating in Build Pro

    • Accurate scheduling and forecasting

    • Train and assist builders with Build Pro

    • Backlog Detail Reports are current and correct

  • Review budgets and monthly accruals with Project Manager

  • Note and communicate plan errors and corrections needed

  • Review Scopes of Work and update as needed

  • Attend Starts Meeting and assist with builder assignments

  • Review DC Selections and assist with clarifications or products for construction team

  • Attend job fairs for internship and recruiting

  • Review Superintendent volumes monthly and assist with job assignments to maintain balance across the team

  • Attend interviews for new candidates and provide input

  • Understand staffing needs and how to plan for future volume, highs and lows

  • Communicate and assist Customer Care Reps with customer items when needed

  • Review Avid Survey Results and work with departments on how to provide the best CX possible

  • Review and provide insight on opportunities where improvements can be made

  • Train and assist Superintendents on customer meetings and ensure expectations are being met or exceeded

Must Haves

  • Minimum of 5 years experience as a Site Superintendent or Construction Manager

  • Construction degree or combination of education and experience will be considered.

  • Ability to lead and communicate across all departments.

  • Excellent Customer communication skills and conflict resolution.

  • Proficient in Excel, Build Pro and internal reporting documents.

  • Ability to provide strategic vision on policy and procedures improvements.
