Position OverviewWe are seeking an Electrical Engineer with radar engineering focus to support advanced ISR systems development within the Systems Engineering Integration & Test (SEIT) Cross Project Team. This role provides specialized radar and RF electrical engineering expertise in a matrix structure, with home organization in SEIT CPT and direct support to Payload and Ground Control Station (GCS) Integrated Project Teams. The position focuses on radar system integration, RF performance monitoring, signal processing support, and cross-functional coordination to ensure radar electrical system requirements and performance standards are met.
ResponsibilitiesPayload IPT Matrix Support (Radar Systems Focus):
- Track and analyze radar subsystem engineering analyses performed by payload partners to monitor RF and signal processing performance
- Monitor radar key performance parameters (KPPs) including detection range, sensitivity, resolution, and false alarm rates
- Track radar technical performance measures (TPMs) to ensure antenna systems, transmitters, and receivers remain within allocated performance ranges
- Identify radar subsystem risks and opportunities that impact overall system performance including range, accuracy, and target detection capabilities
- Track results of radar verification activities including antenna pattern testing, receiver sensitivity verification, and signal processing validation
- Facilitate Cross Project Team access to radar development personnel for CPT product development (Risk assessments, EMI/EMC analysis, RMA analyses)
Ground Control Station IPT Matrix Support (Radar Integration Focus):
- Develop comprehensive engineering drawings of GCS radar signal processing and display system electrical interfaces
- Track radar data processing KPPs and TPMs including processing latency, track accuracy, and display update rates
- Monitor radar communication interfaces and tactical datalink integration (Link 16, custom protocols)
- Identify GCS radar integration risks affecting overall surveillance mission performance
- Track results of radar-to-GCS verification activities including signal format validation and timing analysis
- Facilitate CPT access to GCS radar integration personnel to support CPT product development
Cross-IPT Radar Electrical Engineering:
- Update radar signal flow diagrams, RF distribution networks, and antenna interface documentation
