Licensed Crane Operator - Assembly Technician
Location: Normal, IL
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 48 Weeks
Pay: $34/hour
Schedule: MondayFriday, 7:00 AM 5:00 PM
Hours: 810 Hour Shifts
Job Summary:
Superior Skilled Trades is actively seeking an experienced Licensed Crane Operator / Assembly Technician for a project starting immediately in Normal, IL. The ideal candidate will be proficient in operating a 100 Ton Swing Cab Hydraulic Crane and will also assist with general labor and mechanical assembly tasks when not operating the crane. 50% crane operation and 50% labor duties.
This is a short-term contract opportunity with consistent hours, competitive pay, and the potential for extended work based on project needs and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate a 100 Ton Swing Cab Hydraulic Crane safely and efficiently.
Follow directions from supervisors and site leads regarding crane operation and load handling.
Perform daily inspections to ensure crane is in safe and proper working condition.
Maintain awareness of crane load capacities, limitations, and safe working parameters.
Assist with site labor and basic mechanical assembly when not operating the crane.
Complete required documentation and logbooks accurately.
Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Collaborate with other team members and equipment operators to ensure safe and efficient site operations.
Required Qualifications:
Valid NCCCO Certification National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators.
Proven experience operating large hydraulic swing cab cranes (preferably 100 Ton).
Solid understanding of crane safety practices and operational procedures.
Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety guidelines.
Willingness to perform hands-on mechanical and labor tasks as needed.
Additional Requirements:
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Must have reliable transportation to and from the job site.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
Job requires proper use of PPE: Hard Hat, work boots, safety glasses, and hi vis vest
