Applicants must have mechanical knowledge & the ability to read blueprints. MIG, TIG and ARC welding performed Tuesday thru Friday during a regular work week and overtime as needed. Work includes structural and miscellaneous steel preparation/installation. Great team and learning environment.
Works both indoors and outdoors, may include extreme hot or cold weather conditions. Spends most of the work day standing on feet, requires bending, stooping, squatting. May be required to climb around machines, and climb ladders, scaffolds, and catwalks.
Lifting and carrying 100+ pounds, 15 or more times per day.
Read and interpret blue prints
Climb ladders (using fall protection) 100 feet or more.
Climb and perform work duties form scaffolding up to 50 feet or higher.
Operate and perform work duties from a 25 foot scissor lift and a 40 foot boom lift
Operate heavy machinery and equipment (ironworkers, shears, press brakes, rollers, drill presses, torch units, welders, ect. ) with manufactured safety features.
Operate 6000# capacity forklift and 1300# capacity skid loader with load.
Paint structural steel as needed.
Install structural steel (beams, columns, crane, etc.) using fall protection as needed.
Grasping, twisting, bending, crawling, kneeling and reaching to properly execute work tasks as required.
Any other work task as specified by SLWS.
