Job Title: Purchasing Coordinator

FLSA Status: Exempt

Location: Lehi

General Summary: Position will be a key supplier contact and will sustain strong relationships with suppliers to maintain Younique's operational requirements to meet supply/demand. Position will drive Supplier operational performance through regular calls, tracking of supplier commitments, tracking new launches and installing accountability transversally. The role will include evaluating supplier performance using KPIs and creating improvement plans to support Younique's operational targets.

Day-to-day operational aspects of product supply include managing POs, shipments, invoices, stock and ensuring ERP system information is accurate.

This role will be responsible for continually optimizing stock levels/inventory turns whilst minimizing overstock, scrap or shortages.

Working closely with other teams including Logistics team on shipments and with the Product Development team to provide support and drive key projects to support launches and activities.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Manage suppliers from an operations perspective and be the owner of regular supplier meetings including setting up meetings, following up actions, holding participants accountable and driving successful outcomes with a requirement to support associated administrative tasks.
  • Place and follow up POs including proactive management and resolution of any issues from pre-manufacture to post shipping. For both reorders and especially new launches.
  • Manages the financial aspects of POs and stock at suppliers including any liabilities tracking in close cooperation with the Finance Dept.
  • Presenting supplier performance KPIs and creating and driving a performance improvement plan to support the business' needs.
  • Take ownership of projects and activities by actively tracking progress and being accountable for the results.
  • Work with the supplier and logistics team to ensure shipments are processed from pick up to delivery whilst ensuring cost-effective shipping solutions.
  • Understand key components of the costs of goods sold (COGS) and be able to influence these through logical reasoning.
  • Works closely with demand planning to ensure business needs are met for purchase orders, optimal stock levels and managing out of stock items.
  • Institutionalize new processes and ways of working to deliver benefits to the organization.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Well versed in Supply Chain Management including Supplier Management and Inventory Management.
  • Strong organizational skills with emphasis on data and attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
  • Required IT skills including Microsoft Office especially excel.
  • ERP systems Netsuite knowledge is an advantage.
  • Ability to adapt to a strong learning curve, including ERP systems.
  • Adept at interacting across multiple departments, with outside vendors, and with various personalities.
  • Ability to resolve supplier issues quickly and creatively.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines whilst under pressure.
  • Strong sense of accountability and urgency.
  • Capable of influencing through logic, data and interpretation of data.
  • Ability to adapt quickly and manage ambiguity.
  • Capable of stepping out of comfort zone to take on new responsibilities.
  • Experience in consumer-packaged goods and/or cosmetics
  • 2-4 years of equivalent work experience, preferably in FMCG supply chain
  • Strong history of taking ownership and delivering results
