Job Description
Overview:
We are a Denver based electrical contracting company that specializes in grocery stores, restaurants, and commercial remodels, build outs, and service work. We are currently seeking an Electrical Job Foreman, who is willing to work at nights. You will be responsible for supervising and coordinating electrical installation and maintenance scopes, ensuring projects meet safety standards and code. You will follow plans as proposed. You will be responsible for training and mentoring apprentice electricians. You will also manage project progress, job-site efficiency, and material coordination with the superintendent. You are required to assist in the job scope while also troubleshooting issues, coordinating other electricians and ensuring quality workmanship until the close of jobs.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervision and Coordination:
Directs and supervises electricians and apprentices, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and according to project specifications.
Safety:
Enforces safety regulations and protocols, ensuring a safe work environment for all personnel upholding job site safety for our clients and employees.
Code Compliance:
Ensures that all work complies with electrical codes, regulations, and project specifications. You will be expected to redline plans or discuss with the superintendent or project manager the changes that are required.
Project Management:
Monitors projects progress, manage schedules and ensures timely completion of projects.
Troubleshooting:
Identifies and resolves electrical problems, offering solutions and guidance to other electricians in the field.
Training and Mentoring:
Provides on-the-job training and guidance to electricians and apprentices, developing their skills and knowledge of our industry.
Quality Control:
Inspects completed work to ensure quality and adherence to project requirements. This will include being present for inspections that fall under the scope of our team directly.
Communication:
Communicates effectively with project managers, superintendent, engineers, and other trades to ensure smooth project execution. This will require on-site meetings with the GC or our client and daily communication by way of General Contractors construction platform.
Record Keeping:
Maintains accurate records of labor hours, materials used, and project progress.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
Experience:
Proven experience as a journeyman electrician, with a strong understanding of electrical systems and practices.
Technical Skills:
Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
Leadership and Supervision:
Ability to lead and motivate a team of electricians, effectively delegating tasks and providing guidance.
Communication Skills:
Strong written and verbal communication skills for conveying information to team members, clients, and management.
Problem-Solving Skills:
Ability to identify and resolve technical issues, troubleshooting electrical problems effectively.
Safety Knowledge:
Thorough understanding of electrical safety regulations and practices.
Training and Mentoring:
Ability to train and mentor electricians, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills.
Project Management:
Experience with project planning, scheduling, and budget management.
Pay Rate:
$31.00-$37.00
