Gast Construction Group is currently seeking a Construction Project Manager with a minimum of 10 years' experience in the same position at a construction management company. We are a full-service Construction Management Firm located in West Palm Beach, Florida specializing in Commercial and Residential Construction as well as Estate Management. As a Project Manager, you will serve as an essential part of the Company, assuming full responsibility for assigned projects. Project Managers plan, direct, and coordinate activities of assigned construction projects to ensure that goals or objectives of the construction project are accomplished within scheduled timeframe, and funding mechanisms by performing the following duties:

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Estimate projects as assigned.

Perform/Coordinate Preconstruction activities as assigned.

Review permit plans and specifications and ensures compliance of construction project to plans and specifications.

Produce Project Budget based off Estimate and Develop a Schedule of Values.

Timely, produce monthly reporting to Management including but not limited to Cost Projections, Over/Under Billing, Buyout Log, Project Schedule using forms and systems in place.

Process, review, and approve submittals, shop drawings, and samples through the designated project specific process.

Price and produce Change Orders as necessary and update Project Budget as required.

Oversee minimum 3 construction projects as assigned to see that safely and in a way consistent with a professional construction management firm's policies and procedures, timely completion, quality completion, and company's financial goals are met.

Review the project's construction contract to determine timeframe, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing, requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project.

Confer with project staff to outline work plan and to assign duties, responsibilities consistent with company policies and procedures.

Direct and coordinate activities of Superintendent and project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule, complies with plans/specifications, and within prescribed budget.

Prepare status reports and modify schedules or plans as required. Prepare project reports including forecasting for management, client, or others.

Aid Superintendent and project personnel by provide technical advice and to resolve problems.

Coordinate project activities with required Inspections of government regulatory or other governmental agencies.

Visits job site(s) regularly to assure safe practices, quality, and performance.

Serves as owner contact for projects.

Responsible for invoicing owner and approval of job costs. AIA Pay Application knowledge vital to this role.

Responsible for invoice collection in accordance with the contract.

Responsible for personnel evaluations as assigned.

Supervises Project Superintendent, subcontractors, vendors, and others as assigned.

The Project Manager has the authority and responsibility to accomplish the specific duties above. However, without the approval of the President and/or Vice President of Operations given the situation, the Project Manager may not contract for any services for the Company.

Minimum Requirements:

College degree in Construction or Engineering preferred but not required. Minimum ten years' experience preferred in a variety of different types of construction methods and contractual delivery methods.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: None required. Contractor, Architecture, Engineering License a positive.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, communicating effectively with other GCG employees, subcontractors, and clients.

Ability to work independently and within a Team to prioritize a variety of tasks, working under tight deadlines.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Proficiency in basic construction accounting ie, Cost codes, AIA Invoices (G702/703), Job Costing, Project Projections.

Ability to read, analyze and interpret construction contracts and subcontracts, construction blueprints, general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, technical reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of mangers, clients, customers, and the public.

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts college level algebra and geometry.

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exits. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer literate, utilizing necessary software proficiently including Online Construction Software (Foundation Construction Management Software experience a positive), Microsoft Project, Asana, Slack, Excel, and all Microsoft applications.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands of this position are limited to job site visits, but may include ladders, scaffolding, and misc. handling. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Hours:

Must work a minimum of 40 hours per week and be available during normal office hours and job hours that may vary depending upon other established duties and responsibilities and any additional time required to meet goals and objectives.
