- The Site Project Representative will be responsible for managing and coordinating on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and meeting project delivery targets.
- The role involves building and maintaining relationships with customers, subcontractors, and local organizations, as well as overseeing civil construction, electrical equipment installation, and commissioning activities.
- Serve as a project representative by building and maintaining effective relationships with customers and local organizations such as authorities, banks, and suppliers to ensure active support of field activities.
- Candidateage subcontractors on site to ensure safety, quality, and progress are achieved to meet delivery dates.
- Plan on-site project activities with the Site Construction Candidateager and Project Candidateager, coordinating resources, equipment, and milestones.
- Coordinate between the customer and external resources on installation targets, health and safety requirements, site organization, and policy.
- Ensure successful execution of civil construction, electrical equipment installation, start-up, testing, and commissioning activities in compliance with contract specifications, quality standards, schedule, and safety requirements.
- Ensure a detailed and up-to-date Candidatealth & Safety plan is in place for each work package, compliant with company standards.
- Promote health and safety considerations to all project partners and take necessary actions to suspend activities in case of violations.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and installation of delivered equipment, coordinating on-site storage and shipment logistics to secure timely delivery.
- Recommend alterations to development and design to improve quality of processes and procedures.
- Participate in project teams to assist in developing project schedules and provide technical guidance for installation activities.
- Coordinate with the site manager and project manager on schedule, contractor performance, and safety.
- Assist the Field Operations Team in meeting departmental goals.
- Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Applicants must have a valid driver s license.
- OSHA 30 Construction Industry certification.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in construction, substation installation, and/or electrical work with power systems.
- Ability to read and understand civil and electrical drawings and technical documents.
- Ability to communicate effectively and act decisively.
- Ability to document work performed and track project progress, including warranty administration.
- Ability to independently resolve complex problems.
- Foresight to anticipate problems and identify opportunities for cost-effective improvements.
- Ability to work in high-pressure situations with deadlines and multiple priorities.
- Construction leadership or Lineman Journeyman Trade experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Interpersonal skills including action orientation, attention to detail, effective communication, decision-making, project management, problem-solving, technical orientation, and teamwork.
- Knowledgeable of major electrical power and industrial system applications.
- Familiar with substation design, grounding, and methods of operation for transmission and distribution systems.
- Understanding of welding techniques for aluminum, lifting techniques for major equipment, cable pulling methods, and cable termination.
- Knowledge of utility and substation safety compliance.
- University Degree or Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Candidateagement or Engineering preferred.
- 8+ years of relevant combination of substation installation, construction, or electrical experience with power systems is desirable.
- XXred background in civil and electrical construction, engineering, installation, and commissioning.
