Position Summary
Direct and manage large Oatey manufacturing site to meet customer requirements, assure product quality and employee safety. Plan and execute manufacturing strategy, creating a culture of continuous improvement in order to ascend to world-class status.
Position Responsibilities
Ensure that operational functions are performed in a timely, efficient, and cost effective manner consistent with established corporate and customer requirements.
Manage the safe, efficient and timely flow of all manufacturing processes.
Work cohesively with R&D and Marketing in developing new and improved products to drive revenue growth.
Develop, implement and sustain processes to reduce costs and improve customer service. Develop and communicate metrics to support these efforts.
Develop and implement efficient and effective facility processes, policies and procedures.
Assure a positive work environment by focusing on morale, associate relations, and administering discipline in a consistent manner.
Develop and manage operating budget, along with the development of 5-year strategic plans aligning with Marketing and future opportunities and strategies.
Champion implementation of Lean Manufacturing. Lead the site in establishing SMED, TPM, KanBan, 6S, and other lean tools. Help cascade best practices to other sites across the company. Act as a passionate leader for continuous improvement.
Direct and manage cross-functional staff: select, hire, train, coach and counsel; assure performance and morale. Assign duties and monitor quality of work.
Manage within and build upon the current ISO9001 quality system. Assure compliance with all related government regulations (OSHA, EPA, EEOC etc.) and company policies.

Knowledge and Experience
10+ years experience managing a large manufacturing site in a comparable environment.
In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes consisting of Injection molding, chemicals, and metals. Knowledge of manufacturing best practices, lean techniques, six sigma and continuous improvement processes.
Knowledge of ISO systems.
In-depth interpersonal skills: demonstrated ability to effectively work with a diverse population, facilitate conflict resolution with demonstrated trust and integrity.
Advanced PC computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
In-depth knowledge of ERP systems APICS certification preferred.
Demonstrated ability to cultivate commitment and cooperation of others through individual leadership skills including decisions making process, team building effectiveness, and organizational skills.
Demonstrated business and financial acumen.
Effective written / oral communication and presentation skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities across multiple cross-functional teams that generate results in a fast-paced environment.
Education and Certification
Four year degree in engineering (highly preferred).
Certified Lean and Six Sigma Black Belt
Pay Range $67,078 - $103,971
