A&P Mechanic - Belgrade, MT
Were currently hiring experienced Aircraft Maintenance Technicians to support a specialized firefighting fleet based in Montana. This is a great opportunity for skilled professionals looking for hands-on work with a unique aircraft type and the potential for long-term employment.
Position: Aircraft Maintenance Technician
Location: Montana (Fleet Base Hangar)
Duration: starting around October 2025
Schedule: MondaySaturday, 10-hour shifts (07001730, includes 30-min lunch)
Key Responsibilities:
Perform maintenance and repairs on CL-215 firefighting aircraft
Use WinAir maintenance tracking software, repair manuals, blueprints, and engineering drawings
Conduct structural repairs including C checks, corrosion control, and part fabrication
Frequent use of drilling, riveting, countersinking, and other structural techniques
Support fleet readiness during winter heavy maintenance and prep for the 2026 fire season
Required Qualifications:
A&P License
2+ years of aircraft maintenance experience
Valid drivers license
Eligible for safety-sensitive hire
Preferred Skills:
4+ years aircraft structures experience in heavy maintenance
Experience with turboprop and overwing prop aircraft (Dash-8/Q400, ATR-72, CL-215/CL-415)
Familiarity with MRO environments, line maintenance, and troubleshooting
Work Environment:
Indoor heavy maintenance hangars and shop areas, with occasional outdoor work
Winter conditions in Montana can be severecandidates must be comfortable commuting and working in snow and freezing temperatures
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $60.00/hr.
