WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

The Director of Construction leads and develops construction management, capital management, purchasing, and construction projects. Ensures compliance with all federal and state regulatory codes.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Leads, supports and administers Development & Construction of new Health Campuses in partnership with Development partners and general contractors.
  • Oversees the budgeting and purchasing all of FF&E for new buildings.
  • Ensures that new construction is ready for life safety inspections.
  • Oversees landscaping installation throughout new Health Campuses.
  • Leads the internal process for all punch list items throughout the interior of Health Campuses.
  • Partners with Health Campuses for purchase/repair of life safety requirements as needed.
  • Leads the process to conduct Health Campus inspections to ensure compliance to first impression company standards.
  • Works to ensure Company compliance with all federal and state regulatory codes.
  • Assists with the development of purchasing programs for the Company.
  • Ensures compliance with all regulatory codes both federal and state.
  • Provides emergency assistance and 24/7 support to all Health Campuses.
  • Partners with senior leadership in the alignment of all work and resource management with the Companys mission, vision, philosophies and values, goals and strategic imperatives.
  • Recruits, screens, selects, hires, trains, coaches, counsels and develops a team of qualified and highly motivated individuals.
  • Conserves resources by adhering to financial stewardship using prudent judgment related to expense(s) incurred by the Company.
  • Travel (2 days per week) including overnight stay as necessary.
  • Four (4) year degree in business administration or construction management or the equivalent from an accredited college or university. Masters degree preferred.
  • Five (5) to seven (7) years construction project management experience in a multi-facility environment. Healthcare, senior living industry or long-term care environment preferred.
  • Exemplary computer skills that include knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite of products.

Sitting, standing, bending, reaching, stretching, stooping, walking, and moving intermittently during working hours. Must be able to lift at least 50lbs. Must be able to maintain verbal and written communication with co-workers, supervisors, residents, family members, visitors, vendors, and all business associates outside of the health campus.
