Commercial Construction Estimator

Are you a meticulous, detail-oriented professional with a passion for precision and a deep understanding of commercial construction? We’re seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Estimator to join our growing team, working on projects ranging from $1 million to $20 million.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze drawings, specifications, and addenda to define a clear and detailed scope of work
• Perform accurate quantity take-offs and develop thorough cost estimates, project budgets, and construction schedules
• Communicate and build strong relationships with subcontractors and vendors to obtain competitive pricing and ensure accurate proposals
• Attend preconstruction meetings to gather project information and build connections with architects, engineers, and clients
• Collaborate with project teams to prepare and submit comprehensive, competitive bid proposals
• Suggest value engineering strategies when appropriate
• Develop and maintain a database of unit costs, historical pricing, and vendor contacts

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience as an estimator for a commercial general contractor (REQUIRED)
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Highly self-motivated, organized, and able to meet tight deadlines
• Ability to manage multiple estimates at various stages of development
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred (Nice to Have):

• Field experience in commercial construction
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Building Science, or related field
• Experience with Building Connected and Bluebeam Revu
