- Establish capital budgets for major powertrain projects.
- Set equipment and die specifications and follow items through delivery.
- Set process parameters and lead adjustment and quality confirmation trials.
- Lead product defect countermeasure activities.
- Manage projects related to existing vehicle powertrains and BEV development.
- Develop and manage project scopes that span 12-24 months, including planning, budget development, equipment procurement, installation, and casting trials.
- Study and develop unique North American operation drawings to support processes.
- Build and manage a problem list during the course of a project, utilizing the Toyota Business Practice method for problem-solving.
- Lead a project group during the pre-production phase, including scheduling meetings and reviewing materials.
- BS or higher in Engineering or equivalent related engineering experience.
- 3+ years of production preparation and/or manufacturing experience.
- 1+ years of major model change experience affecting equipment, fixtures, tooling, and part quality.
- 1+ years of experience as a project leader, responsible for coordination and milestone management.
- 3+ years of casting or metals-related manufacturing engineering experience.
- 1+ years of high-pressure die casting experience.
- 1+ years of direct working experience with NC machining.
- Working knowledge of Fanuc Robot and Toyopuc PLC, including system integration and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Creo, or other 2D/3D CAD systems.
- Experience in preparing documentation and presenting capital projects for approval.
- Experience leading projects with budgets exceeding $5M and completing project cycles from planning to SOP.
