Painter

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Surface Prep: Masking, sanding, and preparing products for painting or sandblasting
• Painting: Spray application of undercoats, preservatives, and lubricants
• Equipment Maintenance: Clean and maintain paint shop tools (air lines, paint pots, spray guns, respirators)
• Quality & Compliance: Apply coatings per NOV or customer specifications; follow safety and disposal procedures for hazardous waste
• Facility Upkeep: Maintain paint booth filters and protectant coatings; clean/store empty paint containers
• Small Parts Coating: Spray paint components before assembly and final coating
• Other Duties: Additional tasks as assigned; compliance with company and HSE policies

FACILITY/GROUP SPECIFIC DUTIES

• Conduct required pre-use inspections
• Participate in facility inspections when directed

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience: 1-2 years in industrial painting (blasting experience preferred)

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Valid driver's license
• Able to pass respirator fit test and wear respirator
• Able to work in all climates
• Lift or move up to 25 lbs.
• Willing to work overtime
