Job Summary

The Electrical Maintenance Technician is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and components for industrial machinery and equipment. This role ensures reliable operation of electrical, electronic, and electromechanical systems while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor electrically powered equipment to identify and troubleshoot performance issues.
• Install power supply wiring and conduit for new machines and equipment.
• Connect power supply wires, cables, and inter-machine wiring by specifications.
• Diagnose malfunctions in electrical apparatus such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures, and replace damaged wires or cables.
• Test malfunctioning equipment and collaborate with Production Supervisors, Maintenance Supervisors, and Mechanical Maintenance teams to determine root causes.
• Replace faulty electrical components, including relays, switches, motors, and sensing devices.
• Diagnose and repair or replace faulty electronic components such as printed circuit boards.
• Replace electric motor bearings and perform motor rewiring as needed.
• Diagnose and replace defective mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machinery.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the work area.
• Follow all operational safety requirements, including lock-out/tag-out procedures.
• Perform additional tasks as required to support safe and efficient operations.
