Mechanical Engineer I (Tool & Die)
As part of our team, you'll dive into the world of engineering with guidance and support. Your work will focus on designing and optimizing tooling used in ductile iron casting operations. You'll evaluate tooling performance through foundry trials and collaborate across departments to ensure tooling meets production and quality standards. This role is hands-on and combines CAD proficiency with practical problem-solving skills, offering opportunities to build a strong foundation for future growth and increased responsibilities.
Hours: Mon - Thu 6:00 am - 4:30 pm

Responsibilities:
- Design foundry tooling such as patterns and core boxes using SolidWorks and create supporting documentation.
- Use casting simulation software to develop gating and predict casting quality.
- Reverse engineer legacy tooling through physical inspection and measurement.
- Participate in foundry testing and prototyping, evaluating tooling performance and casting results.
- Collaborate across teams to resolve production issues and support scrap and labor reduction projects.
- Help implement continuous improvements for tooling design, manufacturing processes, and team knowledge.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field oran equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- 1+ years of experience in mechanical engineering
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication amongst wide range of stakeholders and proficient computer skills, including MS Office
- Comfortable using hand tools and power tools
Compensation: $35.05-$52.60 per hour
