Roadway Project Engineer
We have an exciting career opportunity for a Project Engineer to join our Civil Roadway team in Glastonbury! The ideal candidate has experience with civil transportation design and comprehensive knowledge of roadway projects and developing plans in accordance with local DOT standards.
Location
This position will report to our Glastonbury office on a hybrid work schedule.
The Impact You Will Have
Work closely with senior staff to deliver transportation projects
Ability to work independently within a design team to execute project work plans
Be accountable for budgets and schedules provided by the Project Manager
Mentor junior staff
Interact with clients, agencies, and other project stakeholders
What You Will Need
A minimum of 4 years of diverse and progressive civil transportation design experience
Licensed PE in the state of CT or able to obtain licensure through comity within one year
B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering
Experience working with public agencies, private entities and/or municipalities
Progressive experience with developing plans specifications, and submissions per DOT standards and requirements
Excellent communication and client relation skills
Strong organizational skills with a track record for adhering to design budgets and schedules
OpenRoads Designer proficiency
Assure compliance with project CADD standards
Ability to work independently and develop task deliverables in a complete and reviewable manner
