Markley Group is New England's largest and longest operating multi-tenant, mission-critical telecommunications & data center facility. Here at the Markley Group, we are seeking a project manager with excellent communication skills and experience. The primary responsibility for this position is planning and overseeing the design and construction of data center infrastructure projects to ensure they are completed in a timely fashion and within budget.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Work with business stakeholders and engineering staff to clearly define project scope, objectives, and business need.
Effectively communicate with all team members and facilitate communication between project members as required.
Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner.
Prepare budgets based on scope of work and resource requirements.
Track project costs to meet budget requirements.
Develop and manage detailed project scheduled and work plan.
Provide project updates on a weekly basis to project stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and project progress & health.
Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables.
Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution.
Monitor progress and adjust schedule as needed to meet project timelines and budget.
Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement.
Responsible for information security by appropriately preserving the Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability (CIA) of Markley Group information assets in accordance with the company's information security program
Effectively delegate work to junior project management staff as required to meet project needs
Create and implement training program with benchmarks for junior level staff.
Mentor junior level construction staff providing opportunities to learn and grow into larger project roles.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree and 7 years of verified Project Management experience in related field.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
Proven ability to solve problems creatively.
Strong familiarity with Microsoft Office & Microsoft Project.
Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle.
Excellent analytical skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and extremely resourceful.
Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline.
Familiarity with Bluebeam Revu and Procore not required, but desired.
