Job Description
Delta Construction Co. specializes in Commercial and Private Construction work. We are seeking to fill positions within our Pipe Division. All positions focus on our commitment to safety, customer service and innovations within the industry. We are seeking an experienced Pipe Crew Foreman with proven skills operating heavy equipment, including track hoes, excavators, and loaders, to lead our crew and ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and to high quality standards.
The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with strong communication skills, the ability to read and interpret project plans, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
Project Foreman - Pipe / Heavy Equipment Operator
QUALIFICATIONS
Must meet the minimum requirements for employment:
Through knowledge in use of track hoes, excavators and equipment related to pipe construction
Have a minimum of 5 years' experience in an acting Pipe Project Forman position, running civil pipe construction projects
Pre-employment screening requirements: pass a pre-employment drug screens and pass a background check (required for specific projects)
Have a phone, be reachable and available for work scheduled
Have reliable transportation to be able to commute to the job.
Punctuality and good attendance are a must
KEY RESPONSIBILITES
Supervise, coordinate, and lead daily activities of the pipe crew
Assign tasks and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule
Be proficient at operating heavy equipment (track hoe, excavator, loader, etc.) as needed for project tasks
Read and interpret project drawings, specifications, and plans
Ensure proper installation of pipe, trench boxes, and backfill procedures
Monitor worksite safety and enforce company safety policies at all times
Communicate effectively with crew members, supervisors, and project managers
Inspect work for quality and compliance with project requirements
Maintain accurate records of labor, materials, and equipment usage
Train and mentor crew members to improve skills and productivity
Coordinate deliveries, materials, and equipment to meet project needs
Identify and solve on-site problems quickly and efficiently
Serve as the primary point of contact for on-site decision-making
Represent the company professionally to clients, inspectors, and the public
Work cooperatively with team members to accomplish daily tasks
Maintain a safe and clean work environment
Responsible for operating track hoe on construction site, excavating tranches, pulling trench boxes, loading materials, back filling, digging around utilities, and rough grading
Be able to identify lines and utilities
Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Work flexible hours including weekends, may be required.
Other duties as required
WORKING CONDITIONS
Must be able to lift, push, pull up to #50lbs without assistance
Frequent bending, and stooping, squatting, kneeling, crawling, reaching, etc.
Work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, humidity, dust, and inclement weather
May involve work at heights and in confined spaces
Jobs are performed in outside environment with close proximity to highway traffic, heavy construction equipment and hazardous construction, which may include high spaces.
Salary
Range $40.50 - $45.50 / hour depending on experience
