Nexeo HR is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join ACS Manufacturing as a direct hire in Clearfield, Utah. ACS Manufacturing is a leading provider of industrial enclosures, power generation equipment, and electrical packaging solutions. This position offers the opportunity to design, develop, and oversee the integration of complex electrical systems for large-scale industrial applications. We're looking for a self-motivated problem solver with strong expertise in electrical design, AutoCAD, and a solid understanding of NEC and NFPA standards who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

Apply advanced knowledge of electrical design and drafting techniques, including schematic and diagram creation

Plan and design industrial electrical systems using customer-furnished data and job submittal packages

Perform panel loading calculations and balance load centers, panelboards, and switchboards

Accurately size wires, cables, conduits, and trays for project requirements

Create detailed Bills of Materials (BOM) for electrical components

Provide technical direction to drafters and designers; collaborate with senior designers and department managers on complex projects

Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure seamless project execution

Ensure strict compliance with safety standards, NEC, NFPA, and applicable codes

Review and interpret contract specifications and electrical drawing packages

Utilize AutoCAD Electrical (2015 or later) and/or Autodesk Inventor 3D CAD for detailed project design

Communicate effectively with shop and field personnel to support installations and commissioning

Support projects involving emergency power generation and switchgear installation with equipment from Caterpillar, Cummins, MTU, Schneider, and more

Perform additional engineering tasks as needed to meet company objectives

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of relevant experience

Expert-level knowledge of NEC and NFPA standards

Proficient in AutoCAD Electrical (2015 or newer; 2017 preferred)

Working knowledge of Autodesk Inventor 3D CAD or similar software (Revit MEP a plus)

Experience in electrical equipment packaging including generators, switchgear, and UPS systems

Familiarity with industry-standard communication protocols

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Ability to interpret and apply complex contract specifications and electrical drawing packages

Experience in multi-discipline engineering environments

Emergency power generation and switchgear packaging experience highly preferred

Experience with Accubid or similar estimating software a plus

Must pass a background check and drug screen

Pay

$120,000 per year

Schedule

Monday-Friday | 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
