As a Senior Design Engineer at Caterpillar Inc., youll be the go-to Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Medium Wheel Loader (MWL) Aftermarket Kits, driving innovation and ensuring engineering excellence across the entire kits portfolio. In this role, youll lead New Product Introduction (NPI) and maintenance engineering activities, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and influence product design from concept to validation. What You Will Do:

  • Own the MWL Aftermarket Kits portfolio - manage NPI and maintenance engineering activities, ensuring accuracy and quality in every solution.
  • Collaborate with global teams including Engineering Design Center (EDCI) Service Media Authoring and Rapid Product Development to deliver innovative, customer-focused kits.
  • Serve as the key engineering contact for NPI, Product Support, Commercial, and Logistics teams, driving alignment and execution across functions.
  • Leverage your technical expertise in Creo, Teamcenter, and Bill of Material (BOM) management to design, validate, and implement robust engineering solutions.
  • Lead projects from concept to completion, applying strong design control, analysis, and validation to deliver results that exceed expectations.

What You Have (Basic Qualifications):

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering and significant professional experience in product design, development, or aftermarket solutions.
  • Proven technical expertise in engineering design and analysis, with a track record of delivering innovative solutions in complex projects.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple priorities and drive results in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
  • Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and engineering tools, with hands-on experience using platforms such as Creo and Teamcenter.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, capable of influencing and aligning diverse teams and stakeholders.

Additional Info :

  • Office Model: This position requires the employee to work a 5-day-a-week schedule in the office.
  • Travel: 10% domestic and international travel is expected.
  • Relocation: Domestic relocation will be available to those who qualify.

Summary Pay Range:

$110,520.00 - $165,840.00
