Environmental Project Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Environmental Project Manager to perform essential fieldwork and manage projects related to site assessments, pilot tests, remediation system construction, operation and maintenance, and well abandonments. The successful candidate will also prepare reports, manage subcontractors, and communicate effectively with team members and regulatory bodies.

Responsibilities

• Perform fieldwork and prepare reports for site assessments, pilot tests, remediation system construction, operation and maintenance, and well abandonments.
• Conduct soil, groundwater, and surface water sampling in accordance with Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) Standard Operating Procedures.
• Oversee pilot testing and remediation system installations, as well as operation and maintenance activities.
• Manage and oversee subcontractors, including those involved in drilling and excavation activities.
• Prepare scopes of work and cost estimates for projects.
• Communicate effectively and constructively with coworkers, regulators, and stakeholders.

• Project management experience in environmental remediation.
• Strong technical writing skills.
• Experience with permitting processes.
• Familiarity with the Potentially Responsible Party (PRP) program.
• Proficiency in assessment and remediation techniques, including groundwater monitoring and remediation systems.
• Knowledge of natural attenuation and field sampling techniques.
• Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) certification.

• Bachelor's degree in geology, engineering, environmental science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of environmental experience.
• At least 3 years of experience managing FDEP ATC projects.
• Familiarity with FDEP PRP Contract.
• Physical ability to lift over 50 pounds during fieldwork.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position and is remote in FL, with travel to site required.

The pay range for this position is $32.50 - $50.00/hr.
