The primary role of the Project Engineer is to lead and manage capital engineering projects from concept through completion. This includes the design, planning, and execution of manufacturing systems, facilities upgrades, and critical equipment installations. The Project Engineer ensures projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget, and in compliance with industry standards and safety regulations. This role also supports engineering initiatives across maintenance, facilities, and production, driving improvements through capital investment.

salary: $90,000 - $100,000 per year

Responsibilities

Capital Project Management

  • Lead facility and process improvement projects: define scope, develop budgets, coordinate timelines, and manage contractors.

  • Oversee CapEx purchasing: develop specifications, evaluate vendor proposals, and manage installation and commissioning.

  • Serve as project liaison to ensure communication with all stakeholders regarding status, timelines, and requirements.



Engineering & Technical Support

  • Provide engineering support for new and existing equipment, including troubleshooting and hands-on repairs when needed.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support production goals and introduce technical improvements.

  • Maintain engineering documentation, drawings, O&M manuals, and technical specifications.



Compliance & Process Improvement

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, FDA, and other applicable safety and environmental regulations.

  • Support development of SOPs, work instructions, and preventive maintenance strategies.

  • Contribute to internal quality processes (IQ/OQ/PQ), reliability engineering, and root cause analyses.
