CNC Operator Needed at Red Hook Fabrication Studio

Hello,

Shop Cat, located in Red Hook Brooklyn, is currently resourcing for a CNC Operator to start immediately, assisting with a few projects that are currently in production. They would be reporting directly to the Director of Technology. The projects require skillsets in 2 and 3-D, and experience in the following is required:

Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC
- Intermediate knowledge of Fusion and V-Carve software
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD designs
- Inspect finished parts to ensure alignment with quality and tolerance standards
- Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize workflow and production efficiency
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to all company and OSHA safety standards

Qualifications:
Previous CNC operation experience (2+ years preferred)
- Strong understanding of machine controls, tooling, and setup processes
- Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality

Our hourly rate is $40.60, hours are from 9-6 with an hour break for lunch, and two 15-minute breaks throughout the day. Pay is via W2, invoiced weekly, and available via ACH.
