Job SummaryUnder general direction and in compliance with standard operating procedures and policies, coordinates and manages economic development projects, maintains real estate inventory and property database, performs technical research, and assists with special projects as assigned. Supports the Business Development & Technology Manager with pipeline management and actively participates in business development and project management efforts. Assists in managing the implementation and maintenance of the project management system. Ensures that data and records in the project management system are accurate and well maintained. Supports the Real Estate Development Manager by updating and maintaining property database and real estate inventory, and providing property options for new, expanding, and relocating businesses.Essential Functions Essential Functions % of Time
- Project and Pipeline Management: Under the direction of the Business Development & Technology Manager, lead and coordinate a wide variety of economic development leads, prospects, and projects. Provide support with helping to negotiate and structuring contractual agreements, financial participation, appropriate incentive packages, and public/private partnerships with businesses, property owners, and developers. Maintain a regular follow up schedule with leads, projects, and prospects in the Greenville City Economic Development Corporation (GCEDC) pipeline. Assist with data entry to ensure accurate weekly reporting on status of projects in pipeline. Assist with planning and coordinating project visits and site tours. Coordinate with Business Development & Technology Manager and Research & Marketing Manager to respond to Requests for Information (RFI's) and ensure appropriate databases are maintained. Assist with internal suspect list generation for economic development recruitment trips planned by the President & CEO. Pursue business leads in targeted industries. Effectively communicate information about the City of Greenville's business environment. Remain current on and communicate all state and local business incentives and legislation. Conduct research to support project recruitment and retention. Update and maintain project contacts in the Greenville City CRM system.

- Real Estate Properties Inventory Management: Responsible for maintaining a database of all available city properties for commercial, retail, and industrial uses. Collect data for inclusion in the economic development property database, providing property options for new, expanding and relocating businesses, and conducting outreach as directed. Monitors and maintains the GCEDC GIS WebTech Guru available properties webpage, working with Guru and Resimplifi teams to ensure accuracy of listings and provide a comprehensive inventory of properties available for commercial and industrial uses. Maintains relationships with local property brokers.

- Special Projects as Assigned: Maintain flexibility to assist other team members of the GCEDC team with special projects as assigned. Support may be needed on items such as data collection; data entry; research projects; event planning; and any other initiatives or programs that need additional support.

- Bachelor's degree in business, economics, or related field.
- Minimum of four (4) years of project management experience in an economic development or real estate development context.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in economic development, public administration, real estate, or planning is strongly preferred.
Driver's License Requirements
- Valid South Carolina Class D Driver's License.

- Write reports, prepare business letters, summarize meeting minutes, and compose emails in a clear and professional manner.
