Key Responsibilities
Lead the planning, design, and management of civil engineering projects including roadways, storm drainage, water, wastewater, and site development.
Serve as project manager overseeing budgets, schedules, client communications, and regulatory compliance.
Prepare and review engineering reports, design drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and construction documents.
Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic modeling using HEC-HMS and HEC-RAS (steady/unsteady state, dam-break analysis).
Manage AutoCAD Civil 3D design tasks including grading, utility layouts, and plan production.
Coordinate with survey teams for boundary, topographic, and site surveys.
Mentor and train junior engineers, providing technical guidance and project oversight.
Interface with municipalities, contractors, and permitting agencies to ensure compliance with codes and standards.
Support business development by assisting with proposals, client presentations, and maintaining client relationships.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (Master's preferred).
Professional Engineer (PE) license (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
8+ years of progressive experience in civil engineering design and project management.
Strong background in municipal infrastructure projects (roadways, drainage, water/wastewater).
Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, and ArcGIS.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work effectively with clients, agencies, and internal teams.
Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
Experience with state or local municipalities is a plus.
