CMT Project Manager \n\nOverview \nWe are seeking an experienced Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Project Manager to oversee testing and special inspection projects from start to finish. This role requires strong project management skills, technical expertise in CMT practices, and the ability to lead teams in delivering high-quality, timely results that meet industry standards and client expectations. \n\nKey Responsibilities \nProject Management \n\n\nPlan, coordinate, and manage multiple CMT projects simultaneously. \n \n\nDevelop project scopes, schedules, and budgets. \n \n\nAssign and oversee technicians and inspectors in both field and laboratory settings. \n \n\nMonitor progress to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards. \n \n \n\nClient Relations & Business Development \n\n\nServe as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle. \n \n\nBuild and maintain strong client relationships to encourage repeat business. \n \n\nPrepare proposals, cost estimates, and project work plans. \n \n \n\nTechnical Oversight \n\n\nProvide technical guidance for soils, asphalt, concrete, aggregates, and structural steel testing. \n \n\nReview field and laboratory reports for accuracy, completeness, and compliance. \n \n\nEnsure adherence to ASTM, AASHTO, DOT, and project-specific specifications. \n \n \n\nQuality, Safety & Compliance \n\n\nEnforce compliance with company safety policies and OSHA requirements. \n \n\nImplement quality control measures to ensure accuracy and consistency. \n \n\nSupport the training and mentoring of technicians and junior staff. \n \n \n\nQualifications \n\n\nBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred) OR equivalent experience. \n \n\n3-5 years of experience in construction materials testing, including 1-2 years in project management or supervisory roles. \n \n\nStrong knowledge of CMT processes, standards, and reporting requirements. \n \n\nProficiency in project scheduling, budgeting, and client communication. \n \n\nNICET Level II or higher in Construction Materials Testing (preferred). \n \n\nACI Concrete Field Testing Technician - Grade I certification (preferred). \n \n\nACI Concrete Strength Testing Technician \n \n\nACI Aggregate Testing Technician Level 1 \n \n\nACI Aggregate Base Testing Technician \n \n\nICC Certifications \n \n\nPE license is a plus. \n \n\nValid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites as needed. \n \n ","
