Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Principal Project Manager to join a team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Systems Integration, Test and Evaluation Organization. This role is located in Melbourne, FL.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budget forecasts, for project.
Coordinate with engineering, procurement and fabrication / manufacturing teams to ensure alignment on project objectives and timelines
Identify project milestones, critical paths, and potential risks, and develop contingency plans to address them.
Facilitate regular meetings and communications to keep all parties informed of project progress, changes and issues.
Oversee the design, build and install process from start to finish, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, safety standards and project timelines.
Ensure all installation activities are documented, and that as-build drawings are provided.
Manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost-effective solutions are implemented throughout the project.
Prepare financial reports and forecasts and present them to senior management as needed.
Proactively identify potential project risks and issues and develop strategies to mitigate or resolve them.
Implement corrective actions as necessary to keep project on track.
Basic Qualifications:
5 years of relevant experience with bachelors degree OR 3 years of relevant experience with masters degree OR 1 year of relevant experience with Ph.D.
Must have an active DoD Secret clearance or higher (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance.
Must have experience in Project Management methodologies and tools.
Proficient with MS Office applications including Excel, Word, Project, and/or Power Point.
Ability to travel 50% to support West Coast operations.
Preferred Qualifications:
Proficient with Atlassian tool suite (JIRA and Confluence)
Certification and/or experience in Earned Value Management System (EVMS), Control Account Manager (CAM)
CAM & Earned Value Management (EVM) principles
Experience with interfacing with all levels of employees and Leadership
SharePoint experience
