Job Description:
- On a day to day basis you will:
- Lead engineering teams, mentoring junior staff and coordinating technical work.
- Solve complex design challenges, delivering calculations, drawings, and cost estimates.
- Plan projects (budgets, schedules) and ensure compliance with codes/standards.
- Optimize designs through technical/financial analysis and site inspections.
- Produce critical documentation (specs, reports) and liaise with clients/stakeholders.
- Oversee quality control, from feasibility studies to final deliverables.
- Implement innovative solutions in transportation, energy, and infrastructure projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
- 12+ years of experience in Civil Design and Project Management
- Knowledge of NYC public agency processes (NYCDDC, NYCDOT, NYCEDC, NYCDEP) and private utility companies.
- Licensed Professional Engineer or ability to obtain licensure within 6 months of starting
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, HydroCAD
- Expeirenced with Stormwater Management, Site Layouts, Grading, Drainage, Utility Design, as well as Sediment and Erosion Control
- Experienced with Engineering Calculations
