Cumming Group is seeking a highly skilled Construction Project Manager (CSA) with over 10 years of experience to oversee the planning, design, and construction of the CSA project scope, including foundations, concrete, steel erection, architecture fit out and clean room installation. The ideal candidate will bring technical expertise, leadership skills, and a proven track record of delivering projects that meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards. This role involves managing a multidisciplinary team, coordinating with clients and stakeholders, and ensuring successful project completion within budget and timeline constraints. This role leads collaboration with our EPCM prime contractor representative (Work Package Owner) to ensure scope designs are implemented safely, functionally, and compliantly.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Act as the client's representative to review submittals from the design contractor for architectural designs
In early Design Phases, provide guidance to the design contractor on architectural concepts.
Ensure focus on the Project's sustainability ambitions.
Ensure site-wide coordination of architectural design solutions.
Review architectural specifications and installations.
Assist with clash detection via 3D model throughout the design phase and assist with system boundary definition for ease of commissioning.
Review and participate in 3D model reviews of facility and large equipment modules, work with master planners in assessing the degree of Architectural progress. Review space coordination and equipment routing plans for the facility during the construction phase.
Participate in constructability reviews with the site construction team.
Review SOWs and RFPs for tendering of architectural packages.
Develop architectural handover package requirements with CQV team.
Assist in the review of selected contractor submittals and tendering advice in relation to the submittals from the main contracting engineering firm.
Facilitate and provide oversight of the reviews on and after the transition phase between engineering designers and architectural construction.
Assist site construction teams and project controls teams with respect to architectural construction.
Ensure acceptable quality of design and installations.
Drive progress and coordination to ensure schedule, cost, and quality targets are met.
Develop, or drive and support the development of quality control requirements and expectations for field construction
Assist with and drive early selection (during Basic Design) of a cleanroom wall/ceiling systems supplier for the Program.
Perform system walkdowns to support turnover of all CSA scopes of work, including cleanroom systems.
Knowledge & Skills Required:
10+ years of experience in civil engineering design or construction projects.
Proficiency in civil engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, or similar).
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Extensive knowledge of environmental and building codes.
Proven experience in project management, including budgeting and scheduling.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work collaboratively with clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams.
Experience with large-scale industrial projects.
Knowledge of sustainable and environmentally friendly construction practices.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Education: BS in Construction, CM, Engineering, QS, Architecture, or related field
Experience: 10+ years of experience in Project Management, engineering, or construction management
Preferred Certification: CCM, PMP, PE, AIA, LEED
