What You'll Receive as a Welder - Fitter:

Starting Pay: $23.00 - $29.00/hr (based upon Weld Test)

DAY Shift : Monday - Friday, 6:00am - 2:30pm

What You'll Be Doing as a Welder - Fitter:

Work across several product lines welding for Marine Crane, Wagner, Winch, Long Reach, and Freeman performing manual and semi-automatic welding processes in welding positions.

Welder fitters to accurately measure and fit metal parts to meet specifications outlined in engineering drawings.

Work with multiple projects with different machinery.

Use grinders, and saws to cut, shape, and join metal pieces according to engineering drawings and specifications.

Interpret welding blueprints and perform layout for welding and fitting operations.

Work may require long periods of standing, sitting in awkward positions, bending over and crouching.

Prepare weldments for assembly into structural fabricated products

Check the quality of all metal parts before assembling them for welding, cutting, or cleaning as necessary. Must maintain dimension, strength, and evenness of surface of the metal parts all throughout.

What You'll Need to Have as a Welder - Fitter:

2+ years of professional welding experience in a MIG/Dual Shield environment (Certification is a plus, not required)

Must have 60-70% Fitting experience

Must have experience with running 0.52 wire

Welding on thick metals (mild/raw steel) up to 3' thick

Experience with Jib or Overhead Cranes is preferred

Must be able to read and understand blueprints & weld symbols, has a strong mathematical skills.

Ability to perform all manual and semi-automatic welding processes and be capable of certifications.

Skills: flux core wire welding wire, fitter, tape measure.

Rudimentary math skills will be required

Must be able to work in a fast-paced production environment

Must be self-motivated and willing to work extra hours

Must be able to follow safety policies and must be willing to wear PPE and respirator. All departments are required to wear eye and hearing protection, steel-toed boots with built-in metatarsal guards.

Own gloves, and steel-toed boots, but they will be provided safety glasses.

Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Ability to pass respirator fit test
