Fabrication Welder Job Description This role is responsible for performing a variety of technical duties related to mechanical, fabrication, machining, assembly, plumbing, and debugging of custom-built machinery, dies, and fixtures. The position's classifications differ based on the mastery level of essential functions, the degree of supervision required, and the lead direction provided to others. Responsibilities Troubleshoot basic equipment issues in a production environment. Repair basic hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical components. Provide support in areas of fabrication, assembly, welding, and machining. Assemble and debug modified and custom-designed equipment, dies, and fixtures with engineering supervision. Work from oral and written instructions. Maintain adherence to company policy, safety standards, and good housekeeping practices. Understand engineering drawings. Perform simple repairs on equipment with engineering supervision. Assist engineering and maintenance in the debugging of simple custom-designed equipment. Perform basic fabrication, assembly, welding, and machining. Assume other duties as assigned by leadership. Essential Skills Fabrication Welding Mig Welding Inspection Tape Measure Hand Tool Usage Additional Skills & Qualifications High school graduate or equivalent. Possess basic machinist tools. Ability to work from oral and written instructions. Capable of fabricating, machining, and assembling components with engineering supervision. Basic skills in the operation of machine shop equipment. Basic skills in sheet metal fabrication. Minimum of 2 years of machine shop experience. Why Work Here?
