Overview

Operate one or more pieces of machinery in each department. Perform operations efficiently, effectively, and safely with minimal supervision. Able to learn new skills. Monitor production to ensure quality standards are met.

Responsibilities
  • Has the ability and proficiency to set up and operate machines.
  • Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and help implement solutions.
  • Maintain accurate records of production, including quantities produced, machine settings and any issues encountered.
  • Ability to perform work at process speed and/or standard rates.
  • Advises Production Manager with any problems with tools, equipment, fixtures, materials, or setup operation.
  • Maintains daily product and scrap records.
  • Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Production Manager.
  • Keeps workstation and surrounding area clean.
  • Maintain all assigned tools.
  • Any other duties as required by management.
Qualifications
  • Mechanically inclined or ability to troubleshoot mechanical equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance on machines including cleaning and lubricating machines.
  • Must be willing to cross train on multiple roles.
  • Must be able to read, write, and count.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure quality and accuracy in production.
  • Good hand eye coordination. Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs. and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve minor mechanical issues.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Follow all plant and departmental safety rules and regulations.
