- Design, develop, and integrate electrical systems into products using catalogue components and innovative design solutions.
- Research and evaluate new technology in electric motors and drives for incremental product improvements in cost, performance, and features.
- Design, develop, and maintain electrical systems and components to required specifications, focusing on safety, reliability, quality, cost, and sustainability.
- Create wiring schematics, electrical harnesses, related mechanical components, and bills of material.
- Design, size, and integrate a starting device system in a multiple motor application.
- Size and integrate variable speed drives based upon application, current, and dimensional requirements.
- Size and integrate overload and short circuit current protection based upon current, NEC, CE, NEC, and UL requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering.
- 1-3+ years of Electrical Engineering experience.
- Experience completing design reviews for cost reduction projects.
- Proficiency in electric motor controls, transformers, or drives.
- Hardware design and cost reduction experience.
- Cost analysis, troubleshooting, design review, and risk assessment skills.
- Ability to create schematics and manage bill of materials.
- Experience designing within NX.
- Experience conducting risk assessments.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Michigan City, Indiana.
