Hawaii Off-Grid is an Architecture and Engineering firm located in Haiku with a focus on sustainability and modern design. We are expanding our firm into a Design Build and looking for new team members.

We are seeking an experienced Construction Foreman to oversee daily operations on our job sites. The Foreman will lead crews, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role is the key link between the site team and project management, keeping communication clear and resolving issues quickly to keep work on track.

Responsibilities:

-Oversee all on-site construction activities to ensure work follows plans, specifications, and schedules.
-Supervise and coordinate crews and subcontractors, allocating labor, equipment, and materials efficiently.
-Inspect work regularly to maintain quality standards and address deficiencies promptly
-Implement and enforce safety protocols, conduct safety briefings, and ensure compliance with regulations.
-Monitor construction schedules and manage updates to project status
-Resolve conflicts, delays, or technical challenges as they arise.
-Maintain accurate daily records of labor, materials, equipment, and site conditions.
-Serve as the primary contact between site crews, project managers, and stakeholders.
-Lead by example, fostering a collaborative and motivated team environment.

What Were Looking For:

-High school diploma or equivalent required; trade apprenticeship or technical training preferred.
-5+ years of construction experience, including proven supervisory or foreman experience (design-build background a plus)
-Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, safety protocols, and building codes.
-Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
-Strong & effective leadership skills, needs to work well in teams.
-Problem solving, and critical thinking.
-Good communication skills between job site crew/ super/ operations/ PM/ clients.
-Proficiency with scheduling and construction management software.
-OSHA certification or other safety training preferred.
-Valid drivers license and reliable transportation between sites.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment:

-Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in outdoor conditions.
-Lift and carry up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods.
-Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
-Exposure to varying weather conditions.
-What we offer:

Full-Time Position
-Depending on Experience, Salary will range $90k - $114K
-90-Day Training/Probation period
-13 Paid Holidays a year / 12 PTO days a year
-Retirement - IRA
