Position Summary

This position is responsible to coordinate operational activities in designated departments and supervise department associates to optimal performance while adhering to and promoting quality and safety guidelines.

Position Responsibilities

1. Manage daily performance activities to ensure daily goals and priorities meet daily shift productivity targets within assigned departments(s) while maintaining quality standards, safety guidelines and plan attainment. 15%*
2. Supervise safety initiatives to ensure clean and hazard free work environment as well as associate compliance with safety rules and regulations. Pro-actively address safety concerns. 10%*
3. Monitor hourly performance levels in Departments to achieve production standards and resolve problems. Ensure the completion of production records (daily production reports, process monitors, work orders, etc.) and perform data entry as required. 10%*
4. Supervise department associates including daily work assignments, policy and procedure compliance, complete associate merit ratings and review meetings. Recognize outstanding performance and administer discipline as needed. 10%*
5. Respond to daily employee relations issues and contribute to the resolution of associate concerns to help promote a harmonious work environment. 10%*
6. Perform all required quality inspections and document results. Ensure all department associates are knowledgeable and inspecting output per product quality requirements. Ensure the timely processing of nonconforming products and complete required documentation. 10%*
7. Apply LEAN management principles throughout the departments daily activities. 10%*
8. Effectively communicate business objectives, daily goals, performance related information, individual feedback to all levels of the organization. Support corporate communication initiative and lead the team by example. 5%*
9. Partner with other supervisors to schedule, plan and execute daily operational goals and objectives. 5%*
10. Oversee maintenance activities and ensure equipment is maintained in good working order for attainment of department metrics. 5%*
11. Ensure smooth start-up by verifying raw material, components, equipment and associates are available at workstations. 5%*
12. Other duties as assigned. 5%*

*Essential Job Functions

Knowledge and Experience

Required
1. Two (2) to four (4) years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
2. Knowledge of MS Office Applications required. Working knowledge of MS AX preferred.
3. Strong leadership and communication skills, both verbal and written with English proficiency.
4. Solid interpersonal skills including listening, coaching, diplomacy and conflict resolution.
5. Familiarity with lean manufacturing concepts.
6. Demonstrated teambuilding skills and an ability to work with diverse backgrounds with a cooperative mindset.
7. Ability to multi-task meeting operational deadlines via effective planning and prioritization in a fast-paced environment.
8. Effective problem-solving abilities required.
9. Flexible schedule is necessary occasionally to accommodate meetings and training sessions.

Preferred
1. Prior supervisory experience preferred with knowledge of principles and practices of effective associate supervision.

Education and Certification:

Required
1. High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Preferred
1. Bachelors Degree preferred.

Pay Range $56,846 - $88,111
