Heavy Equipment (9000) Operator

Weyerhaeusers Idabel, OK lumber manufacturing facility is seeking a skilled heavy equipment/front end loader operator to support our sawmill operations. This role is responsible for unloading log trucks and loading the mill with raw materials for further processing.
We are seeking individuals who are committed to safety, motivated to work, and work as a team member.

Key Functions\:

• Operate a large front-end load to unload logs from a tractor-trailer to log inventory or into the mill.
• Communicate with leadership to rotate logs based on age and other factors.
• The front-end loader is climate-controlled, either a bouncy or low impact ride may be experienced.
• Complete a daily mobile equipment checklist, add oil, water and refuel as necessary.
High School diploma/GED required.
• 2 or more years of relevant work experience documented with attached resume.
• Able to work safely and follow all company policies and procedures.
• Experience operating a front-end loader or similar sized and function equipment in a production environment.
• Ability to work with little direct supervision and be self-motivated.
• Ability to work closely with others; be a team player/leader; demonstrate good communication skills, and a positive attitude.
• Willingness to work any shift, work on short notice, work overtime and weekends and rotate between jobs; as well as perform any job as specified by supervisor.
• Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Good decision-making skills.
• Able to conduct visual equipment inspections, perform basic preventive maintenance and assist maintenance in troubleshooting/improving equipment.
• Able to work in extreme temperatures, in dusty and noisy conditions, while wearing safety equipment.
• Successful completion of assessment process, background check and post-offer pre-employment drug screen and physical.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working in wood products manufacturing.
